Our Commitment to Child Safety
We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, inclusive environment where every child feels valued, respected, heard and empowered.
Our child-safe framework is embedded in everything we do.
Our commitment to child safety is embedded in our culture, values and everyday practices. We foster a culture of vigilance, respect and accountability, where all educators, staff, volunteers, students and visitors share responsibility for protecting children and promoting their wellbeing. We believe every child has the right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect, and to thrive in an environment that supports their learning and development.
Our Child Safe Framework is guided by the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and the Victorian Child Safe Standards. We are committed to preventing harm by embedding child-safe practices across every aspect of our service, recognising and responding to concerns promptly, and reporting any reasonable belief or suspicion that a child has been harmed or is at risk of harm in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
Little Bright Starz complies with the Victorian Child Safe Standards, the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations, and all relevant child protection legislation. We regularly review our policies, procedures and practices to ensure they reflect best practice and meet our legal and ethical obligations.
By working in partnership with children, families, educators and the broader community, we create a child-safe culture where every child is protected, respected, supported and empowered to reach their full potential.
